This reference site was developed to assist those seeking to locate educational courses and tutorials being offered via the Internet.  Our listings are divided into catagories of interest, such as: art; history; literature; mathamatics; writing; etc.

While a very large number of the sites that are available on the Web may be classified as "educational", their sheer numbers would make our task impossible if we attemped to include them all.  We have therefore limited our listings to sites that meet the following criteria:

	offer structured courses/tutorials via your web browser, e-mail, or ftp
	offer courses/tutorials that can be taken entirely over the Net (for example, our listed sites will have no requirments for you to actually physically visit a specific location to complete the course)

The following symbols are used to assist you in identifying the features of each site we list:
	enrollment is available at no charge		there is a fee to enroll
	formal certification is offered		there is a fee for certification only
	available via e-mail		available via web browser
	available via ftp		course/tutorial is run at your convenience
	course/tutorial begins and ends at set times		comments available from former students
