PLAYING WITH SPECIAL EFFECTS |
This is where I played
around in PhotoImpact with the horizontal ruler for the
Bracketeers page. It follows closely the steps from the
first version of brackets on a bar to the
final gold one that I used. Believe it or not, all
versions stemmed from the first gif shown.
If you will look at the code for this page, you'll notice
that I played with jpg files after the initial gif files.
For your information, the first, third, fifth and eleventh
examples are in gif format. All others are in jpg format.
You can see the difference in various
spots between the gif and the jpg formats. This is most
notable in the last two examples.
I played with all kinds of color and special effects. In the first seven examples I played with brightness/contrast, hue/saturation, blur/sharpen, and the like. In the eighth example, I used the emboss special effect and chose golden brown as the color. At this point, the brackets appear as "bumps" in the bar. From here on, I played with the magic light function and the brightness/contrast function. Presto! By example ten, I had shiny gold! You just play PLAY!! And then keep what you like. |
