     - This was done entirely in MS Paint.  Note that the size is exaggerated to emphasize the process and that white was used as a highlight instead of light yellow for the same reason.

CLEAR DOT USED FOR SPACING

BLACK SQUARE WITH WHITE SQUARE OUTLINED JUST WITHIN ITS BORDERS, ALSO WHITE CROSS BARS DIVIDE THE SQUARES INTO 4 TRIANGLES
SAME SQUARE WITH WHITE OUTLINED CENTER FILLED WITH YELLOW, LEAVING TINY WHITE CORNER MARKERS WHERE THE BLACK STILL SHOWS
SAME AS ABOVE BUT WITH ONLY TINY WHITE LINE BETWEEN THE OUTSIDE CORNERS OF THE INSIDE YELLOW SQUARE AND THE STILL BLACK OUTSIDE LARGER SQUARE
NOW THE OUTER BLACK SQUARE IS FILLED WITH WHITE COLOR ON THE UPPER AND WEST SIDES, AND ORANGE ON THE LOWER AND EAST SIDES - LEAVING A 3 DIMENSIONAL BUTTON SHAPE
